Quayside Sunday Market

Every Sunday, rain or shine, Newcastle's Quayside fills with stalls under the shadow of the Tyne Bridge — handmade crafts, art, vintage finds and local produce, with the bridges and the river doing a lot of the atmosphere for free.

It's been running for decades and shows no sign of stopping, which makes it a reliable any-Sunday plan rather than a one-off to diary in. Pair it with a wander along to the Ouseburn or over to Gateshead.
