Newcastle Quayside Carnival

NE1's riverside carnival is back for its second year, spreading circus performers, a climbing wall, a silent disco and foam parties across nine zones along the Quayside — all free, all drop-in, running from late morning into the afternoon.

It's built for wandering rather than queuing for one big thing: dip into whichever zone looks good, let the kids loose on the activities, and enjoy the Tyne as a backdrop. A genuinely sociable, no-cost way to spend a Saturday in Newcastle-Gateshead.
