As dusk settles over the reedbeds, a local bat expert leads small groups out with handheld detectors to pick up the clicks and calls of the reserve's six resident bat species, explaining what separates a pipistrelle from a noctule along the way. Suitable for ages 8 and up, so it's a good one for older kids and teens who've outgrown the toddler nature trail but still love a bit of after-dark mystery. Booking is essential.
