Food & drink · Lancaster

Free entry to eat your way round Lancaster Castle's grounds for a full August weekend — street food traders doing everything from bao buns to loaded crumble pots, a producers' market of Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire cheese, cured meats and wine, craft beer, local DJs and family workshops. The castle setting does a lot of heavy lifting; it's a genuinely striking spot to eat a burrito.
No ticket needed, drop in for an hour or park up for the afternoon, and it's a three-minute walk from Lancaster train station — an easy one to build a day around if you're coming from further afield.
Never miss the good ones
