Cambo's walled garden is mid-repair, and rather than hide the scaffolding, the estate has built a whole summer season around it — talks, guided walks and hands-on stone-craft workshops (including a two-day lime-mortar conservation course in late August) for anyone curious how a 19th-century garden wall actually gets fixed.
The gardens and café are dog-friendly throughout, and the workshops are small enough that solo attendees blend straight in — a genuinely different way to spend a Fife afternoon.
