The first group show YSP's Underground Gallery has staged in its twenty-year history, bringing together 67 works by 38 contemporary Indigenous North American artists from more than 35 Tribal Nations — work rooted in land, memory and material rather than the more decorative sculpture-park fare. It's a proper reason to make a day of West Bretton: see the show, then walk it off across 500 acres of parkland dotted with the permanent collection.
One ticket covers the whole park, paths are pushchair- and wheelchair-friendly, and because it runs right through to next April there's no rush — genuinely one to save for a clear day rather than squeeze in.
