Teckels' biggest event of the year — a proper old-fashioned dog show with stalls, raffles and free parking, and every pound raised goes straight to the sanctuary's rescue animals. Unpretentious and genuinely dog-mad rather than a big ticketed show.

Good one for a bank-holiday wander whether or not you've got a dog of your own — plenty of them to admire either way.
