Sophie Calle: Something Missing?

French artist Sophie Calle turns her forensic, confessional eye on what's missing — a mother, a lover, an idea that never arrived — across seven major series spanning 1986 to 2024, including the moving video piece "Voir la mer", in which Istanbul residents see the sea for the first time.

It's Calle's first UK institutional exhibition in over fifteen years, staged in Turner Contemporary's light-filled galleries overlooking the Margate seafront, and entry is free.
