Skipton Artisan Market

Skipton's Canal Basin makes an unusually pretty setting for a market — boats moored up alongside a tight curation of around 27 stalls, from small-batch bakes and preserves to handmade jewellery, ceramics and artwork. It runs the first Sunday of the month, so it's easy to fold into a wider day pottering round the Dales market town.

No ticket, no rush — just good, honest makers selling things they've actually made, and a canal-side coffee to go with it.
