An evening reserve visit built for kids who are usually in bed by bat o'clock — pond dipping by torchlight followed by watching Loch Leven's bat colony come out to feed at dusk. It runs 8.30–10pm, so it's late enough to feel like an adventure without being a genuine school-night disaster.
Loch Leven is one of Scotland's best wetland reserves and this is the kind of small, guided, hands-on event that's easy to book onto solo with kids in tow — everyone there is doing the same thing, so nobody's watching you fumble a torch.
