Brecon Jazz Festival

One of Wales' longest-running music weekends, and still one of its best-kept secrets outside the jazz world — a mix of international names and rising British talent play across Brecon's most atmospheric small venues. Theatr Brycheiniog sits right on the canal, and the town itself becomes part of the festival, with buskers and pop-up sessions spilling out of pubs.

If ticketed gigs aren't your budget, the Bulwark Stage runs completely free from Friday lunchtime through Sunday evening — wander into town, catch a set, get a coffee, catch another. No ticket, no plan required.
