Powderham Food Festival

A proper county showcase rather than a generic food fair: over a hundred South West producers set up in the deer park below Powderham Castle, with chefs doing live demos and a full programme of tastings running across both days. Cider, cheese, charcuterie and enough samples to skip lunch.

The castle grounds are the real draw beyond the stalls — rolling parkland, grazing deer and views down to the Exe estuary, so it's an easy one to turn into a full family day rather than a quick stall-hop.
