Exhibition · Margate

Hulda Guzmán paints the rainforest mountains of the Dominican Republic where she lives — dense, saturated scenes where her family, animals and half-mythical figures share the frame with the landscape. It's the first time a European institution has given her a solo show, and Turner Contemporary's light-filled Margate galleries are a genuinely good place to see it.
Free to walk into, right on the seafront, and closing in mid-September — worth timing a Margate trip around before it's gone.
