GDIF's flagship free weekend — a hilltop piazza turned over to high-wire circus, street dance and puppetry, running 1-6pm both days with no ticket to fuss over. It works equally well for a toddler in a buggy or a teenager who thinks they're too cool for "family theatre".
Combine it with the view over the Thames from Observatory Hill for a full free afternoon out.
