Artist Jacqui Parkinson has spent years building these 44 panels — silk, paint, metallic leather, gold leaf — and seeing them hung through a genuine medieval nave rather than a white-cube gallery changes how they read. It's a proper pairing of contemporary textile art and 900-year-old stone.
The cathedral has step-free routes throughout, so it's a solid choice if accessibility matters to your day out. If you want to make more of an evening of it, look out for the ticketed "Wine and Wander" late — a quieter, adults-only way to see the panels.
