Exhibition · Leicester

Over 400 exhibits trace toy design across five decades — prototype pieces, poster art and dioramas alongside the vintage action figures and Lego sets people actually grew up with. It's the sort of exhibition that works for genuinely mixed ages: small kids get the spectacle and colour, older visitors get the nostalgia hit of spotting toys from their own childhood.
Free entry and a central spot on New Walk makes it an easy add-on to a wider Leicester day out, and with a closing date in early September there's no need to rush before the school holidays end.
