Returning this October, this is one of the UK's biggest grassroots urban music festivals — 300-plus acts across 50-odd pubs, cafés, churches and squares, nearly all free to walk into.

It's an easy festival to build your own afternoon out of: hop between a folk trio in a beer garden and a string quartet in a church nave without ever queuing for a ticket.
