Jemisha Maadhavji: I Dream From Where You Are

Leicester painter and sculptor Jemisha Maadhavji brings together pattern, colour and portraiture in this major solo show, exploring identity and her own idea of luxury through richly decorated figures. It's a substantial exhibition — running clean through to next spring — so there's no excuse not to catch it on a quiet weekday visit to the gallery.

There's a free launch evening on Thursday 8 October, 5–7pm, open to all — a nice, no-pressure way to see the work with the artist in the room before it settles in for its five-month run.
