Hanbury Hall's Apple Harvest

There's a lovely, unhurried appeal to letting small children loose in an orchard with a paper bag — no queue, no big production, just 47 varieties of apple hanging at exactly the right height for little hands.

It runs across two separate weekends (25–27 September and 2–4 October), with the estate's own beekeeper selling honey on selected days, so there's no need to rush if the first one doesn't fit.
