Foolhardy Folk Festival

A proper bank-holiday folk day out in one of Nottingham's loveliest Victorian parks — this year's line-up runs from Beans on Toast opening and closing the day to Badly Drawn Boy, Skinny Lister and 3 Daft Monkeys in between. It's small enough to still feel like a garden party rather than a festival site, with the bandstand as the stage and space to bring a picnic blanket.

Turning up alone is completely normal here — it's a wander-between-stages, chat-to-strangers-in-the-beer-queue kind of day, not a mosh pit.
