Broadstairs Folk Week

This is folk music the way it should feel — a whole seaside town given over to it for a week, with more than 400 events across 20-odd venues and pubs, and around 160 of them completely free. Wander between harbourside pub sessions, ceilidhs and workshops, catch the Big Parade down the High Street, or just let the music find you between chip-shop stops.

Turning up on your own is entirely normal here — most of the good stuff happens in packed pub back rooms where nobody's a stranger for long.
