Waves of Waste Beach Clean, Fraisthorpe

Two hours, gloves and pickers supplied — a feel-good, low-key way to give the Yorkshire coast some love. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust runs it as a proper group activity rather than a solo chore, so you'll end up chatting to fellow volunteers along the dunes.

Dogs and kids are both welcome on the walk down, and there's a real sense of a job well done by the time you're back at the car park.
