Food & drink · Southwell

Dozens of stallholders fill the Minster with pies, chocolates, jams, chutneys, pickles and sausages, all built around the Bramley apple — first grown from a pip planted in a Southwell cottage garden over 200 years ago, and now the nation's favourite cooking apple.
Children's activities run in the Chapter House, so it's a proper family morning as much as a food one, with a genuinely lovely setting to wander round with a bag of shopping.
