Food & drink · Berwick

Now in its 20th year, Berwick's food festival takes over the town for a weekend with around 40 producer stalls, 15 bars and a run of street food traders set up along the walls of this walled border town. It's unticketed — you just turn up — and the producers' market itself runs on a pay-what-you-can basis.
Good for grazing your way round rather than committing to one sit-down meal: cheese, local ales, baked goods and street food sit alongside live music and cookery demos. Berwick's Elizabethan walls and the Tweed estuary give you a proper excuse to turn it into a full day rather than a quick stop.
