Exhibition · Manchester

Rarely seen ukiyo-e woodblock prints by Hokusai and Hiroshige, including Hokusai's "Under the Wave off Kanagawa" — better known as The Great Wave — drawn from the Whitworth's own collection alongside loans, tracing how these two Edo-period artists shaped depictions of nature and everyday life. It's the gallery's first exhibition dedicated to Japanese prints in over 100 years.
Free entry, running to mid-November, so there's still plenty of time to catch it on a wet Manchester afternoon.
