The Alnwick Garden Show Weekend

Saturday brings a Food & Craft Market and judged flower, veg and cake classes straight out of a proper village show; Sunday flips the whole thing to a Dog Lovers' Market with a dog show thrown in. Genuinely community-run rather than corporate, and set inside one of the North East's best gardens.

Up to four kids go free with each paying adult, so it's an easy call for a family day out — and the dogs get just as good a welcome as everyone else.
